Enjoyed a "Brain Bash" at City College!

The Bus envisioned above is the "brain child" of CUNY cognitive science Tyler Alterman. He wants to bring cognitive science experiments to kids via this van!

Here we are enjoying a ride in a mock-up of the van at the fund raiser at City College last Tuesday night. They raised $30,000 towards the development of this cool idea!

Here I am trying out one of the cool experiments that allows you to control a virtual cube with your mind. It took a little time but it actually worked! Cool stuff. I hope this will roll into Stamford sometime soon.

Here are some students from KT Murphy ELementary School enjoying their after school Lego WeDo club! This offering was expanded this Spring from one school to four due to generous grant funding. Don't they look like they are having fun?

Stamford Public Schools to Showcase STEM Education

WHAT: STEM Showcase
WHO: Stamford Public Schools is sponsoring this event. The following exhibitors will be presenting displays and activities:

- Cloonan Cloo-bots Robotics Team
- AITE Robotics Team
- Davenport Lego WeDO Programmers
- Agriscience and Technology Program Displays
- Middle School STEM Integration Team Lesson Displays
- Stamford Garden Club Lettuce Challenge Winners including Hydroponics
- CT Invention Convention Participants
- SoundWaters
- NASA

WHEN: Wednesday, May 22, 2013, 4-8pm

WHERE: Stamford Innovation Center at 175 Atlantic Street Stamford (old Town Hall), across from the Stamford Town Center Mall.

WHY:
- To display and celebrate the innovative STEM-related educational experiences occurring in the Stamford Public Schools - To raise awareness and importance of STEM education in the community
